Murals create a level of intrigue that elevates every business. For patrons and employees alike.
Before submitting an inquiry, make sure that my process works for you. Not all muralists work the same.
I am never able to give an exact time frame for a mural's completion. I am not the type of person to stick to strict deadlines. I usually finish tasks before they are due and am only able to work if I am in the mood to be working. This could mean me not working for 2 weeks then working 12 hours a day for 3 days.
I am not looking to create art that makes you think. I want onlookers to be able to appreciate it from any angle and see the same message.
I am not trained in lettering. I am capable; but, I am not nearly as skilled at it as professional lettering artists.
If the mural location is within 10 feet of a road, somewhere I feel uncomfortable, or in a high traffic spot, I will offer installing a freestanding mural (after its completion in a safe area). If a freestanding mural isn't what you want, the location will have to be changed.
If you are looking for a cheap option, I am not the muralist for you. I pride myself in leaving murals with the best outcome I am capable of. If the mural ends up being more complex than thought during initial pricing, We will have to discuss increasing the budget or decreasing the mural's square footage.
Because of the way my brain works, I am physically unable to leave things undone. If there is any possibility that you will change your mind before I am finished, I will not be able to work with you for the sake of my sanity.
My service dog, Rocco, joins me everywhere. He is life-saving medical equipment. If having a large (hypoallergenic) dog in your business could cause issues for either of us, I will not be accepting the offer for both my safety and my dog's.
Price varies based on labor intensity and materials.
Often, a wall can be completely ready for a mural, but still have an unflattering texture. I can fix any superficial (or significant) abnormalities on the surface of the desired wall.
There are times when texture can be the greatest asset of a mural. Plaster and putty can be used to draw focus to a specific element. This can be either permanent or semi-permanent.
Having incomplete, cracked, or skewed trim can make the wall itself look rough while distracting from the detail of the mural.
A clear sealant can be used over the mural to prevent damage, staining, and even graffiti. This does mean, however, that it cannot be painted over, the sealant has to be sand-blasted off. This option is highly recommended for free-standing and outdoor murals.
Adding your logo to a mural requires a separate contract. When it comes to trademarking my work, I like to make sure all included artwork is entirely my own. Unless I am also asked to design the logo being included in the mural, the legality of using an established logo must be discussed.
Not all freestanding murals require a frame. If needed, I can build a custom frame for the conditions the mural will be in. Frames can be permanent, collapsible or mobile. You can also have the frame installed to be able to switch out the murals regularly.
Provide the name of your business, the intention of the mural you are envisioning, and a description of where the mural will be located (indoor/outdoor, wall texture, square footage, and expected foot traffic during work hours).
